Satchel is made up of Workspaces, Rooms, Packs and Resources
Workspaces are company-level containers, here you define site-wide settings and invite people to your workspace. Billing is also managed at the workspace level.
Rooms are the next level down.
Rooms are where you organise people for a task or purpose. Sometimes rooms are cross functional, like a team and sometimes they're organisational e.g. all the architects. Rooms always have a name and can be styled up to give them some pop and a sense of style or ownership.
You might have a Board Room for the executive team and the board members, you could have rooms for each project, and so on ... The structure is really up to you.

At the Room level you also assign roles (Owner, Editor, Reader) to people, based on what jobs they have. In the example above for the Board room the room Owner might be the CEO, the room Editors would be the executive team (CFO, COO etc..) and the Readers would be the board members.
Inside Rooms we have Packs
Packs are published in Rooms. Packs are assembled by Owners and Editors. During assembly a Pack is only visible to Owners and Editors. Once a Pack is published it becomes visible to everyone in the Room + everyone in the room is notified about it.
Rooms generally have multiple packs in them, sometimes lots of packs. There's no limit to the number of packs a room can have. In the example above for the Board Room, there might be a monthly Board Pack published into the room.

What's inside a Pack ? We call those things Resources.
Resources are files or links. That's it. If resources are links then Satchel will check on them as soon as they're added and then periodically after that to make sure they're still alive. If links go MIA or dead after a number of retries we let the room Owner and Editors know about it.
